One session, multiple signals
Heart rate, RMSSD, IBI variability and a session-response index shown together from the first to the last segment.
Gentle multisensory experiences that lift quality of life for residents, and decompress the people who care for them.
In use across elderly care, disability care and hospital settings since 2017
Press play to explore how a multisensory experience supports residents and caregivers.
SENSIKS synchronises sight, spatial sound, scent, warmth, airflow, and gentle touch around one intended state. When every signal agrees, the brain accepts the environment as real and the body shifts with it.
The experience is delivered around the user. Coordinated sensory signals can be selected for relaxation, activation or engagement without asking the user to learn another interface or technique.
In care settings, one resident may be restless, anxious, or agitated, while another sits under-stimulated and disconnected. Verbal reassurance and screens often cannot reach either of them, while staff are running on empty.
SENSIKS meets people through the senses instead, guiding residents toward calm or gently awakening connection with minimal instruction.
When language and screens no longer land, the senses still do. Like muscles, sensory pathways weaken without use; regular sensory activation helps residents stay present.
Coherent multisensory input the brain accepts and responds to, reaching residents even when verbal communication no longer lands.
Bring the outside world indoors to reawaken cherished memories and restore moments of recognition and connection.
Regular sensory activation supports attention, mood, and quality of life, helping preserve engagement that fades in quiet routines.
SENSIKS synchronises sight, spatial sound, scent, warmth, airflow, and gentle touch into one coherent experience. A resident does not only see the beach, they feel it, restoring a sense of place and joy without leaving their chair.
For residents living with dementia or limited mobility, these journeys can reopen a door to somewhere loved, and to the people and moments attached to it.
Care work is relentless. The same installation supporting residents gives carers a private reset around the clock. Between rounds or after difficult incidents, staff step in for a low-effort 12-minute reset.
Wind-down sessions help prepare for rest, while activating sessions re-energise carers during demanding night shifts.
A private, low-effort 12-minute reset between rounds without app complexity or stigma, exactly when help is needed.
Wind-down pathways assist rest, while activating sessions re-energise carers before or during night shifts.
Serves residents by day and the care workforce around the clock, strengthening wellbeing and retention.
A carer selects a gentle programme for the resident. No complex setup and minimal instruction required.
Synchronised light, spatial sound, scent, warmth, and gentle touch reach the resident directly, even when words no longer land.
Optional biofeedback and State Shifter AI personalise and log each session, so carers can see what works for each resident over time.
Field-tested since 2017, backed by an evidence base of 18 independent research projects and deployments across care homes, hospitals, and disability care.
"And afterwards, there was a smile. You keep pushing those boundaries."

Optional physiological measurement can align HRV, heart rate, respiration and EDA with the session timeline, helping teams observe response patterns where measurement is relevant.

Smoothed app-defined session-response trend from the same recorded session, shown to illustrate how changes can be reviewed over time.
Results: 3-month trial, 130 clients and a 30-person control group at Stichting Philadelphia care homes. Analysed and reported by TNO.
Charts show one recorded session for illustration and should not be read as a typical individual result. Physiological responses vary by person, protocol, setting and measurement method.
